Govt. Otu's Special Adviser Frowns At Slow Pace Of Work On 12 Miles

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Project Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Raphael Murphy has expressed displeasure with the slow pace of work undertaken by Zeka Construction Company on a section of 12 Miles, in Calabar.
Murphy who aired his dissatisfaction when he took an inspection visit to the construction site in company of staff of his office, also lamented the poor job done so far, charging the company to live up to its billing in ensuring quality and conformity to contractual obligations.
He maintained that the delivery of the present administration's 'People First' agenda remains sacrosanct, adding that infrastructural interventions that fall below standard as a result of the contractors' undoing would be unacceptable.
The Special Adviser reitrated government's commitment to Cross Riverians to delivering quality infrastructure that will stand the test of time, maintaining that the 'season of sweetness' is particular about the comfort, security, progress and safety of the people.
According to him, government would do everything within its power and resources to improve the living standard of the people.
