Otu's Aide Seeks Collaboration With Civil Defence On Asset Recovery

The Special Adviser on Asset Management and Recovery to Governor Bassey Edet Otu of Cross River State, Gilbert Agbor, Esq, has called for collaboration with Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
Agbor who made the call during a courtesy visit to the state's Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commander Charles Brown, in Calabar, said it is imperative To partner with civil defence authorities for effective operation in the area of asset recovery.
According o him, the aim of the visit is to strengthen ties and foster effective collaboration between his office and law enforcement agencies.
"The purpose of the visit is to enhance relations and pursue effective collaboration between my office and law enforcement authorities in the ongoing effort to recover assets.
" The meeting also aims to address various key issues related to the management and recovery of government assets, both within and outside the state in line with Governor Bassey Edet Otu's administration penchant for transparency and accountability."
Responding, the Commandant said: "On behalf of the command, we congratulate you on on appointment as Special Adviser on Asset Management and Recovery.
"Your appointment is a testament to your credibility and the confidence the Governor of Cross River State, H.E Senator Bassey Edet Otu, has in you considering the sensitivity nature of the office."
"As part of our core mandate to secure and safeguard critical government assets, we are committed to offering our services and support to your office whenever necessary in the recover state assets."
"I also take this opportunity to appeal to the Governor, through your office, to support the Command in reclaiming a portion of the command's headquarters designated as an exhibit yard, which is currently occupied by officials from the immediate past administration."
During the visit, the Special Adviser also toured round the vicinity of the command headquarters.
In attendance during the visit include DC Robert Prince, overseeing Operations, DC Ogidi-Olu Oludare, Head of Technical Services, DC Osuji Lambert, Head of the Crisis Department, AC A.I. Essien, overseeing Asset Management and Recovery, and CSC Eremi Solomon, the State Public Relations Officer (PRO).
