Olayi Assumes Office As NYCN Chairman In C'River

The newly-elected Executive Council of The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Cross River State Chapter has been sworn into office following the successful conduct of its election on saturday.

The new EXCO has Olayi Otogbo Emmanuel as Chairman, Ngban Basil Ngban as Deputy Chairman, Evalsam Ekpe as Vice Chairman Central, Wonah Patrick Vice Chairman North, and Benjamin Edet as Vice Chairman South. 

Others are Prince Ojoi Obojor as Secretary, Ojong Vincent Asam Deputy Secretary, Melchizedek Okwe Public Relations Officer (PRO), Emmanuel O. Duke, Assistant PRO, Itanim Christopher Programme Officer, Agbor Celestine Akan Treasurer, Asuquo Nyong Etim Financial Secretary, Barrister Ikugar Thomas Legal Adviser, Odama Joseph Ubenye Social Secretary, David Nsemo Internal Auditor, Mbang Effiong Programme Officer 2, Ofem Okoi Organising Secretary Central, Eugene Keshe Hipekwen Organising Secretary North, and Emmanuel Archibong Organising Secretary South.

The state Commissioner for Youths Barr. Ijom Ukam while congratulating the new executives for their victory admonished them to keep up the spirit that is already established in the youth council while urging them to continue in the already established cordial relationship with the ministry.

The National President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria Comr. Sekubo Sare-Igbe Sekubo, who was present at the swearing-in ceremony held at  Metropolitan Hotel Calabar, said the mandate accorded the new exco  was a call to serve the youth wing in the state and not to rule.

He expressed confidence in the capacity of the newly elected state officials while also admonishing them to be proactive and diligent in the discharge of their respective responsibilities.
