Nigerian Canadian-based real estate mogul and philanthropist, Princewill Ogban, has distributed Christmas gift to all women and others in Etana Erei community in Biase local government area of Cross River state.
This is the 6th time the community has benefited from Ogban's gesture. Each of the beneficiaries got N5000 each.
In a telephone interview with THE BEAGLE NEWS Ogban said: "I gave N5,000 each to all women and some selected persons identified as in need in my home community Etana Erie as Christmas gift.
"Although I'm based in Canada, I still reflect on the poverty that exist is Nigeria and that's why I choose to always put smiles on the faces of vulnerable folks in my home community.
"As I watched the video from beneficiaries with my family in Canada, it also allows my kids who are born in Canada to have a glimpse of the experiences of the most vulnerable in my home community.
"This would help cushion the prevailing hardship and the economic uncertainty in Nigeria."
Some of the beneficiaries, who commended Ogban for his assistance at this nick of time and prayed for God's guidance as ahead of the New Year, said the gift will go a long way into assisting the family this Yuletide season.
