UNICAL Clocks 50; Eyong, Eshemomoh, Dorn Cklaimz, 32 Others Appointed Organising Committee Members

As University of Calabar (UNICAL) clocks 50, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Florence Obi, has approved the appointment of about thirty-five persons as members of the organising committee for the golden jubilee celebration.
The Organising Committee of Unical at 50 has as chairman, Prof Eyong Ubana Eyong, Provost, College of Post Graduate Studies, Barr. Eshemomoh, Paul - Alternate Chairman, Dr. Enamhe, Dorn Cklaimz, Alumni Relations Officer, as secretary and other prominent personalities to drive the epock-making event.
In a letter obtained by THE BEAGLE NEWS and signed by the Registrar and Secretary to Council, Gabriel O. Egbe, on behalf of the institution and dated July 16, 2024, enjoined the committee members to among others to use the opportunity to raise funds for the development of the institution.
The letter stated the terms of reference for the Organising Committee to include to plan and organise a world class ceremony to mark the University of Calabar at 50, to establish contact with relevant organisations and individuals who may be of help financially or otherwise in actualisation of the event.
Others are to co-opt other persons who may be useful in one way or the other in facilitating the success of the Committee's assignment and to carry out any other function incidental to the success of the event.
The Committee shall be inaugurated virtually by the Vice Chancellor on Thursday, July 18, 2024 at 5.00 p.m while the meeting link will be provided in due course.
