YULETIDE: CROSS RIVER NORTH NASS MEMBERS DOLE OUT N54M, 1,620 BAGS OF RICE TO CONSTITUENTS

The Yuletide celebration has commenced in Cross River Northern senatorial district as National Assembly members led by Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, representing northern senatorial district, doled out the sum of fifty-four million naira (N54m) and distributed 1,620 bags of 50kg rice to constituents.
The other NASS members include the member representing Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Hon. Peter Akpanke and that of Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, Hon. Godwin Offiono.
Senator Jarigbe, who made the pronouncements when the NASS members visited the various five local government areas of Cross River North Senatorial District to mark the Christmas celebration, said each ward would get the sum of N1m and 30 bags of 50kg rice.
He stated that the reason for the season is to show empathy, share with the vulnerable in the society and show love to one another.
Jarigbe added that "unity and peaceful coexistence irrespective of ethnic, social and religious differences are the hallmark of the Yuletide."
On his part, Hon. Peter Akpanke said: "I urge all our constituents to always remain united because, in it, lies the strength of the umbrella."
Equally speaking, Hon. Godwin Offiono said: "We appreciate our constituents for the maximum support and cooperation, which I and my colleagues have enjoyed so far.
"I commend Senator Jarigbe Agom for his sterling leadership qualities that have helped to build and reform the PDP in Cross River North. I promise to continue give my best to ensure the growth and progress of the party in Ogoja/Yala federal constituency and Cross River state."
Some of constituents and stakeholders of the party, who spoke, commended the lawmakers for their constant support and impactful leadership.
