Agbor said the recent festive period has further highlighted the challenges faced by the community due to the lack of electricity, adding "it's 'terrible' that Nde community celebrated in darkness, while neighboring communities enjoyed electricity.
"This oversight is an injury to the people, especially considering Nde's strategic location on a major highway.
"To address this issue, I urge you to harness the influence of top political leaders in the community to facilitate the provision of solar lights or other alternative energy sources."
According to him, "installation of solar street lights extensively throughout Nde community will not only alleviate current security risks but also provide numerous benefits, including energy efficiency, cost savings, environmental friendliness, and improved safety.
"To ensure the longevity and efficient functioning of solar street lights, it's essential to choose locations that receive adequate sunlight, install solar panels securely, and mount light fixtures at a height that provides adequate illumination while reducing light pollution.
" Additionally, develop a sustainable plan to maintain and replace these lights as needed, and install a workable transformer to support the community's energy needs."
