OGOJA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN HON. CHRISTOPHER AGBEH COMMENDS GOVERNOR OTU OVER CARNIVAL CALABAR

The Executive Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Agbeh, has commended Cross River State Governor, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu, and his wife, Mrs. Eyoanwan Otu, for the well-planned and reimagined Carnival Calabar. He described the event as a world-class celebration that meets international standards and is deserving of recognition in the fields of culture and tourism.
Hon. Agbeh noted that the month-long carnival activities demonstrated the world’s opportunity to visit Cross River State for entertainment, cultural immersion, and an appreciation of the state's rich heritage. He further emphasized that Governor Otu's initiative to extend the event throughout the state allowed every citizen to partake in the celebrations.
The Chairman also recognized the state government’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and festive yuletide season, with a packed calendar of recreational activities designed to promote the season’s values and increase awareness among potential investors seeking to partner with Cross River State for economic development.
Additionally, Hon. Agbeh praised the carefully crafted theme, "OUR SHARED PROSPERITY," which he interpreted as a call for unity and love among all citizens.
