NDDC Releases Palliatives For Flood Affected Communities In Cross River State

The NDDC Commissioner representing Cross River, Hon. Orok Otu Duke, has secured the release of NDDC palliatives allocated to Cross River state.

The relief, which was received in Calabar on Friday April 19 by the state NDDC rep, include bags of rice and beans, cartons of tomato paste, cartons of groundnut oil, mattresses, pillows, bags of salt and wheel barrows.

Other relief materials include mosquito nets, rain boots, insecticides, pesticides, sewing machines, toiletries lanterns and other essential household items. 

The relief materials are aimed at mitigating and cushioning the challenges and sufferings faced by flood victims in the Niger Delta region.

The release of the materials goes on to underscore Orok's resolve to ensure Cross River state is not surcharged in the committee of Niger Delta states
