More Than 2000 Matriculate As C’River Univ. of Education & Entrepreneurship, (UEE) Akamkpa, Holds Maiden Matriculation

The University of Education and Entrepreneurship, Akamkpa has matriculated more than two thousand students at her maiden Matriculation.
Addressing the inductees, the Cross River state Governor, Senator, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, described the establishment of the University as part of a strategic paradigm shift of the state from a civil-service-dependent economy to one driven by entrepreneurship and stressed that the institution's mandate to birth graduates who are self-sufficient and job creators as key agents in reducing unemployment and fostering sustainable development
Gov. Otu who spoke through the state Commissioner for Education Senator Stephen Odey implored both staff and students to remain steadfast, uphold discipline, and contribute passionately towards sculpting a world-class institution devoid of social vices to reciprocate governments gesture as well as justify their parents investment.
. "The present administration's "People First” philosophy, should be applauded as we witness this historic moment, a monumental stride, not only for Cross River State but for Nigeria, Sub-Saharan Africa and beyond. Therefore, students must wear integrity, diligence, and resilience as their badge of honor", Otu stated.
The Vice-Chancellor, University of Education and Entrepreneurship Akamkpa, Prof. Patrick Asuquo celebrated the matriculants as pioneers, pathfinders, trailblazers and torchbearers destined as the bedrock of the University’s legacy assuring that the institution is devoted to grooming graduates who are intellectually robust and entrepreneurially equipped, combining pedagogical depth with practical prowess to ignite innovation and drive national progress.
“What once stood as the College of Education, Akamkpa, has, by divine providence and the visionary leadership of our amiable Governor Senator Prince Bassey Edet Otu, emerged as a full-fledged University, this transition was not merely a nomenclature—it signified a bold paradigm shift towards a forward-thinking Institution crafted for the 21st-century educational demands". Asuquo emphasised.
In her speech, the Vice Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council, Prof. Susan Etim charged lecturers to rise to their noble calling—to teach, mentor, and inspire in alignment with the University’s mission of excellence and innovation.
While congratulating the matriculants, she further states:"Now that you have been admitted, you stand at a crossroads —one path leads to success, the other to failure. To graduate, you must labour diligently, stretch beyond the classroom, and honour those who believe in you.” Etim admonished.
The event which was climaxed with the formal presentation of the matriculants by the University's Registrar Dr. Gabriel Egbe, attracted stakeholders from the academia and traditional rulers from the area
