Marine Security Company Storms Akwa Ibom To Combat Sea Pirates

In a bid to curb criminal activities in the Akwa Ibom State waterways, a Port Harcourt based Marine Security Company, Ideal Advanced Guard Company Limited has stepped into the state.
The presence of this security outfit with administrative office at no. 6 Akpa Ube Street, Uyo is an added advantage to the security network in the State especially the waterways in Oron, Mbo, Ibaka, Ifianyon, Ikom Abasi among others.
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Ideal Advanced Guard Company Limited, Commander General, Michael Anthony Etuk who spoke to newsmen in Uyo last Friday said, his company is committed to fighting sea pirates to arrest the menace assuring that other criminal tendencies in the affected areas would also be eradicated.
He said, "we will fight or protect the lives and properties of the people and also deal decisively with any sea pirates that have been attacking fishermen and women in the waterways".
"We will partner the people and other security operatives to ensure that passengers and others operating in the costal areas in the state are enjoying maximum peace and go about their normal businesses within issues".

He promised that when the company commences operation, it will offer holistic and integrated security services designed to meet the needs of the people.
Etuk appeal to the Akwa Ibom State Government and other relevant organisations to give them the necessary support to combat insecurity in the waterways.
Also speaking, the State Director General of Operations of the Company, Apostle (Engr.) Peter Udoh disclosed that Ideal Advanced Guard Company Limited is a reqistered company with the Corporate Affairs Commission ( CAC) licenced by the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency ( NIMASA) to fight crimes in the waterways.
Udoh stated that the company has functioned effectively over the years in the neigbouring states like Rivers and Bayelsa with an enviable track record.
The Director of Operations maintained that the Ideal Advanced Guard Company Limited has well trained personnel to handle marine security and was in the state to make a visible difference.
