C’River Assembly Declines Eutemdala Commissioner Nomination

The Cross River State House of Assembly has declined the ratification of Mrs. Gladys Eutamdala, a commissioner nominee from Yakurr Local Government Area, a release from the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Matthew Okache, is quoted.

The Chairman, Committee on Judiciary, Public Service Matters, Public Petitions and Conflict Resolution, Rt. Hon. Davis Etta, said Mrs. Eutemdala’s commissioner nomination was met with several petitions from some Yakurr indigenes, who raised critical issues of great public concerns against her.

Buttressing the House's rejection of the nominee, Speaker Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, posited that ”The 10th Assembly is that of the people, and must respect and first protect the interest of the people.”
