C'River:MDAs Gets Facelift As Otu Renovates Rickety Office Complex

As a delibrate step to provide ideal working environment aimed at promoting optimum service delivery,Governor Bassey Otu has commenced the renovation of dilapidated government offices harbouring significant number of MDAs around the state capital.
Benefitting agencies include Department of Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation (DPPME), Budget Monitoring and Evaluation (DBME), as well as the Department of Public Transportation (DOPT).
Recall that upon resumption of office, Sen. Bassey Edet Otu had set out with rehabilitation of roads and execution of people -oriented projects across the state, with many government offices selected for remodeling and upgrading.
Notable offices undergoing rehabilitation by the governor include the governor's office, state library, presidential lodge, deputy governor's lodge, local government service commission, as well as the governor lodge,GRA Ogoja amongst others.
Commenting on the development, Special Adviser to the governor on Projects/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr. Raphael Murphy, described the ongoing renovations as a tip of the an iceberg given the list of government offices earmarked for similar facelift.
According to Murphy, Governor Otu has promised to complete all the projects inherited from the past administration and also give the state a facelift through new ones as part of effort to attract both local and foreign investors.
The Special Adviser said; "i have always known the governor to be a man of his words.
"Cross rivarians are beginning to see his sincerity in governance from the ongoing projects, with some attaining between 50 percent to 99 percent completion, while others are completed and ready for commissioning,"
