C'River Assembly Clerk Bags NACRISS Award

Clerk of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Mr Adie Akabisong Agwulewhule has been honoured with an Award of Excellence from the National Association of Cross River State Students (NACRISS WORLDWIDE).
The Award which was presented in the Assembly's Complex on Tuesday, during a Courtesy call on the Clerk by NACRISS Executive Members led by the president Comrade Akpeke Peter, is in recognition of the Clerk's regular support for the objectives and programmes of the Student body, said the association leader.
"We are delighted to be here and we thank you for your emmence contributions to NACRISS WORLDWIDE. We are privileged that you provided the Assembly Chambers as venue for our last inauguration," Akpeke said.
Chief Judge of NACRISS, Comrade Ayeni Success, extolled the qualities of the Clerk and described him as a Pillar of the Association. He further informed him of the Association's forthcoming Student's Week and appealed for assistance towards the hosting of the event.
Responding, the Clerk thanked the Students body for the honour, and promised to continue his support for the Association's laudable projects within his abilities.
Akabisong used the opportunity to commend the State Governor, Sen. Bassey Otu for the measures taken so far to address the recent unfortunate boat mishap at the Marina Resort which claimed the lives of three medical students visiting the state and expressed sympathy for the bereaved family, while calling on the state government to put up measures that will prevent such accident from happening again.
