BREAKING: TRAGEDY IN CROSS RIVER AS OTU LOSES CABINET MEMBER TO DEATH

THE Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture in Cross River State, Mr. Abubakar Ewah, is dead.
Abubakar was said to have died today at Aruba Specialist Hospital, Calabar at the age of 62. He was born in 1963.
Sources said Abubakar was at the State Executive Council Meeting today and contributed meaningfully to the day's deliberation.
But while at the meeting, the Governor noticed that he was not looking healthy and asked him "Abu what is wrong you are not looking healthy," and he replied saying he was not feeling too well.
At that point, the Governor advised him to take a leave and go for medical treatment which he did and drove himself to Aruba.
White at Aruba receiving treatment, he gave up the ghost.
THE BEAGLE NEWS reports that shortly after the news of his demise broke out, members of the Cross River State Executive Council and some aides of Governor Bassey Otu rushed to Arubah Specialist Hospital where they all expressed shock and spoke in muffled voices even as some were seen with tears rolling down their eyes not believing that one of their own was gone to the great beyond.
Mr. Ewa was a one time secretary and Chairman of Boki Local government Area,
Secretary of Anti Deforestation Task Force as well as served as one of DGs in former Governor Ben Ayade.
He also served in several capacities in various governments.
Ewa is a consummate politician who has contributed to the political landscape of Cross River State.
Ewa was a media enthusiast and friendly to those who came his way while he was alive.
