A'IBOM LG POLLS: More Aspirants In PDP Pick Up Nomination Forms

More Akwa Ibom citizens aspiring to serve as Councillors on the Platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have picked up expression of interest and nomination forms ahead of pending local government elections in the state.
State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Rt. Hon. (Elder) Aniekan Akpan, who supervises the exercise, said apart from the sales of forms, the party was fashioning out robust strategies to ensure that aspirants who will emerge as candidates of the Party become successful at the general contest.
He advised those wishing to purchase the forms to follow the procedure of obtaining Bank drafts at Zenith Bank PLC with the details provided as this will make it more convenient for the aspirants.
The Akwa Ibom State PDP Chairman said: "By next week Wednesday, July 24, 2024, our Party should be rounding off the process of sales of forms and submission will follow almost immediately. So we encourage aspirants to take advantage of the window that has been opened for this exercise"
Some of the aspirants, who spoke to newsmen shortly after obtaining their Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, said they were impressed by the hitch-free and highly efficient manner the party is handling the exercise.
They expressed optimism that other aspects of preparation for the elections will bear the stamp of excellence that the PDP in Akwa Ibom State is known for.
