By Ndifereke BASSEY

The People's Democratic Party (PDP) chapter chairman of Abi, Mr. Victor Bassey, has urged both old and new members to participate in the ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise.

The exercise is as a result of the directives of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) National Working Committee (NWC), mandating states and local government chapters to conduct another round registration to update its register.

He commended party members and supporters in Abi for their steadfastness and support for he leadership of the Abi PDP family.

He called for a peaceful and successful exercise across the 10 political wards of Abi.

He further called on both old and new members to participate in the ongoing exercise as a prerequisite for the collection of a customised membership card.

The exercise takes effect from May 13 to May 30, 2024 at their various council wards.

According to him, names on the new membership register are for record-keeping and future purposes and to fulfill all requirements of being a card-carrying member of the party.

Barr Eko Alobo, a Central committee member of the Registration/Revalidation, briefed the committee on registration procedures and protocols, encouraging members to remain committed as the leadership assures assistance with logistics and other necessary areas.

The ward committee inaugurated at Itigidi, was attended by the leaders of the party, members of the State Exco, chapter Exco, ward leadership, and party faithful.
