Jarigbe Receives Community Development Award From Nkum Irede Women’s Forum , Promises Effective Representation

Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has been presented with an Award of Legislative Leadership and Constituency Development by the Nkum Irede Women’s Forum.
The award was presented following the forum’s maiden 2026 Annual Women’s Day Celebration, which culminated in a grand finale, Thanksgiving and Award Ceremony held on September 16, 2026, in Ogoja Local Government Area of Cross River State.
Presenting the award on behalf of the group at Senator Jarigbe’s residence in Calabar, the Convener of the forum and Councillor representing Nkum Irede Ward, Hon. Elizabeth Mbim and Nurse Josephine Bassey, said the recognition was in appreciation of the Senator’s commitment to community development, legislative leadership and constituency representation.
According to them, the award acknowledges Senator Jarigbe’s contributions not only to his immediate community and Nkum Irede Ward, but also to Ogoja Local Government Area and the entire Cross River North Senatorial District.
Nurse Bassey noted that the forum considered it important to recognize individuals whose efforts have contributed to the development and representation of the people, adding that the Senator’s legislative engagement and constituency-focused initiatives had earned him the appreciation of the women.
She further expressed the forum’s appreciation of the Senator's accessibility and continued engagement with constituents
She stayed that effective representation should be reflected both in legislative activities and in tangible development within the constituency.
Receiving the award, Senator Jarigbe AgomSenator representing Cross River North Senatorial District, Senator Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe, thanked the women of Nkum Irede for the recognition and described it as an encouragement to continue serving the people of Cross River North.
He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation and community development, while appreciating the women for their support and confidence in his leadership.
The Nkum Irede Women’s Forum is foremost women group, which comprises women from across Nkum Irede Ward.
The group was established to promote unity, community development, women’s participation and collective action for the advancement of the ward and its people.
