IKOM LGA CHAIRMAN COMMENDS NIGERIAN ARMED FORCES FOR THIER DEDICATION TOWARDS THE NATION'S SECURITY

The Chairman of Ikom Local Government Area, Pst. Mercy Nsor, has commended the Nigerian Armed Forces for their dedication towards the nation's peace, security, and sovereignty.

Speaking during the 2026 Armed Forces Celebration and Remembrance Day in Ikom, Hon. Nsor praised the armed forces' valor and sacrifices, renewing commitment to the ideals they fought for.

While paying tribute to fallen heroes, she appreciated security agencies for their support, noting that there are crucial to national stability and progress.

"Their courage in defending our borders, maintaining peace, and upholding the rule of law is a testament to their unwavering dedication, May the soul of the departed rest in peace and may the living heroes continue to inspire us," Nsor said

She however thanked the state government for the support to the military formations in the state as well as the legion which has given rise to a cordial relationship between the military and the executive.
