A graduate of the University of Calabar and holder of an Honorary Doctorate in Public Administration from ESCAE University, Republic of Benin, Dr. Abuo combines intellectual depth with practical governance. He also serves as State Coordinator for AUDA-NEPAD and State Facilitator for the INEC Continuous Voters Registration (CVR) program - both crucial positions that highlight his capacity to mobilize, manage, and deliver at scale.

Before his current role, Dr. Abuo founded and nurtured the Cross River State Political Network (CRISPON) - a youth-driven political structure that has become one of the most vibrant platforms for inclusion, empowerment, and grassroots mobilization in the state.

Through CRISPON, he has opened doors for many young Cross Riverians - facilitating civil service employments, political appointments, and personal support for hundreds of families. His leadership has built a bridge between the government and the governed, especially for the youth.

During his time as the Pioneer Director-General of the Migration Control Services Agency (MCSA), he brought innovation and structure to the agency, emphasizing human security, safety, and opportunity. His record of performance in that office still speaks for itself.
