C’River Central Hails Former Governor Clement Ebri at 73
The people of Cross River Central Senatorial District have joined voices in celebrating former Governor of Cross River State, Chief Clement David Ebri, as he marks his 73rd birthday, describing him as a statesman whose legacy continues to shape the state’s political and developmental trajectory.
In a goodwill message personally signed by the Senator representing the district, Senator Eteng Jonas Williams, the former governor was extolled as a visionary leader, patriot, and one of the finest sons of Cross River Central whose impact on governance remains indelible.
Senator Williams noted that Chief Ebri’s administration between January 1991 and November 1992 opened a golden chapter in the state’s history, laying foundations for reforms in public service, economic planning and social development that continued to strengthen institutions long after his tenure.
He added that the celebrant’s unwavering commitment to integrity, community development and the upliftment of the people stands as a guiding example for emerging leaders across the state.
“Today, we celebrate not just the passage of time, but the enduring influence of a man whose leadership has shaped our political history with honour, foresight and uncommon patriotism,” the message read.
Describing Chief Ebri as a father, mentor and illustrious son of Cross River Central, Senator Williams said the former governor’s life reflects quiet strength, principled leadership and steadfast devotion to the wellbeing of the state.
He prayed that God continues to bless the elder statesman with good health, renewed strength and divine favour, noting that his wisdom remains a beacon for leaders across Nigeria.
