BREAKING: Gov Otu Reverses, Cancels Last Postings By HOS, Says It's near Retirement

Cross River State Gov Bassey Otu has reversed and cancelled with immediate effect the last postings made in August 2025 by the Head of Service.

In a press statement signed by SSG, Prof A. Owan Enoh and dated August 2025, Otu said the postings co-incided with HOS approaching retirement from service, adding such could hinder smooth handing- over, create administrative instability, and undermine orderly succession.

He, therefore, ordered immediate reversal of the postings pending the assumption of office of a new HOS.
