Bayern Munich consider summer bid for 17-cap England player Anthony Gordon

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, talkSPORT understands.

Sources say Bayern boss Vincent Kompany is a massive admirer of the England international and the German giants are strongly considering a summer bid.

Should Bayern advance with a move for Gordon, he would then link up with fellow England international Harry Kane.

The Three Lions skipper has enjoyed a fruitful career since joining the German giants in August 2023.

As a Bayern player, Kane has scored a staggering 134 goals in 137 games across all competitions.

Bayern boss Kompany may lean on Kane for insights on Gordon given the two have played 12 games together for England. Gordon has 17 caps for England overall.

talkSPORT reported in February Liverpool remain keen on the winger, who is a boyhood fan of the Reds.

Liverpool came close to prising Gordon away from Newcastle in June 2024, only for the deal to collapse and the England international pen a new contract until 2028.

Arsenal have also been linked with a swoop for Gordon, who respected journalist Henry Winter claimed would be a significant upgrade on incumbent Gunners wingers Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro
