APC Congress: Boki Stakeholders Endorse  Chapter chairman, Kelvin, For Second Term, Says Unity, Cohesion Paramount

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Boki Chapter has endorsed the chairman of the Forum of chairmen, Chief Kelvin Njong,for a second term in office by his constituents.

 Nyong doubles as the Boki APC chapter chairman and a commissioner in the Forestry Commission and was endorsed alongside the 11 councilors of the 11 wards of the local government.

The gale of endorsements were carried out by elected members of the party, political appointees, as well as the party’s leaders in the two constituencies that made up Boki local government.

The endorsements, which took place in three different locations across the council areas and were led by the member representing Boki constituency II in the State House of Assembly, Hillary Bisong.

Others were led by the member representing Boki Constituency I, Philip Bette Obi and Chief Jeke Enya, Special Adviser on Political Matters to the governor.

Njong was endorsed alongside his executive committee of the council area, in addition to all the ward executives of the 11 wards that made up the local government.

Attributing reasons for the endorsements, speakers at various gatherings were unanimous that Njong and his team have done well to be returned for second term in office.

According to the member representing Boki I constituency, their endorsement was based on their demonstrated ability to promote political cohesiveness and sustain a unified party atmosphere across Boki.

In particular, the chapter chairman, Njong, was commended for his inclusive leadership style, strategic thinking, grassroots engagement, and commitment to unity, inspiring strong confidence in his leadership prowess and capacity to advance the party’s collective goals.

Moving a motion for the endorsement, Hilary Bisong, who doubles as the Chief Whip of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hillary Bisong, said their support Nyong and his team was borne out of the need to ensure cohesion and unity in the party in Boki.

In his reaction, Njong, who is also the. National Secretary of APC Chapter Chairmen Forum, described these endorsements as a pass of vote of confidence and the believe in his ability to deliver on their mandate, adding "this is indeed, more responsibilities and I promise to take the APC to greater height in the local government.

"Today is one of my happiest day because to serve the people is a responsibility and it is a very special privilege, and it will not be taken for granted whether it comes with the pain or not.

"I will assure all of us that this time, we are going to do more because we have consolidated ourselves with the achievement

of Senator Bassey Otu, So, come

2027, APC is going to do more.

"The nature of these endorsements has shown that I have done well in the past. I can assure my people that I am going to double and do more," he stated.

According to him, what is going on has shown that the APC would conduct a rancor free congresses scheduled to commence in February.

Among the dignatries present at the endorsements include Barr Attah Oschinke, former Commissioner of Justice and Attorney-General of the state; Jacob Dakem; and Rt Hon. Alex Abu, former leader of the State House of Assembly and Hon. Dan Osim Asu, a former Commissioner of Works in the state.

Others are Hon. Gabriel Ogre, Chairman of Boki local and his Vice, Obi Akam, Dr Julius Kejuo, Senior Special Adviser on youths to the governor, Hon. Sami Ankwo,.State Officer of the party; Hon. Thomas Onabel, Commissioner II Civil Commission, and AIG John Abang (rt.) SSA Security (Central); and Dr Rose Bisong, Board member SUBEB.
