2027: Obubra/Etung APC Reps Candidate Deepens Stakeholder Engagement, Visits Commissioner Ayuk

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, Dr. Mrs. Blessing Egbara, has intensified consultations with key stakeholders across the constituency as part of efforts to consolidate party unity and build momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In continuation of her stakeholder engagement tour, Egbara on Monday paid a courtesy visit to the Cross River State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Henry Egbe Ayuk, in his office in Calabar.

The visit, according to the House of Representatives hopeful, was aimed at strengthening collaboration within the party and fostering a united front capable of delivering overwhelming victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking during the meeting, Egbara commended Dr. Ayuk for what she described as his unwavering loyalty to the party and his wholehearted acceptance of its decision in choosing her as the consensus candidate for the Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency.

She noted that despite nursing the same ambition, the Commissioner demonstrated exceptional political maturity by embracing the party’s decision and immediately throwing his weight behind her candidacy.

According to her, Ayuk’s disposition reflects his commitment to the growth and stability of the APC and serves as a model of leadership and party discipline.

“From the very day I emerged as the consensus candidate, Dr. Ayuk accepted the decision of the party and gave me his support despite having the same aspiration. That singular act speaks volumes about his character, courage and commitment to the APC,” she stated.

Egbara expressed confidence that the Commissioner would continue to mobilize support for the APC and work towards ensuring victory for all the party’s candidates in the state and across the country in 2027.

Responding, Dr. Ayuk welcomed the APC candidate and reaffirmed his loyalty to the party and its leadership, assuring her of his full support throughout the campaign and beyond.

“I am fully satisfied with and committed to the decision of the party. I will support my leader, Governor Bassey Otu, and all candidates of the APC to ensure their victory in the forthcoming elections,” he pledged.

The Commissioner further assured that he and his supporters would continue to work tirelessly to strengthen the party’s structures and mobilize grassroots support across the constituency.

Ayuk, who received the candidate alongside some members of the Obubra/Etung Political Assembly, maintained that the APC remains well-positioned to retain all elective positions in 2027, expressing confidence that the party’s performance and unity would translate into electoral success.
