2027: TSG Vows To Deliver South-South for Tinubu’s Re-election

The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) has vowed to deliver South-South region for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The Group had concluded arrangements mobilise voters across the South-South region for the re-election, saying no stone will be left unturned as campaigns kicks off.
Fielding questions from newsmen in Calabar on Monday following his new appointment as Deputy Director-General (South-South) of the group, Sen. Williams Eteng, said the group would embark on an aggressive grassroots mobilisation campaign across the six states of the region.
Eteng, who represents Cross River Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, stated that the campaign would be taken “door-to-door, community-to-community, local government-to-local government and state-to-state” to canvass support for Tinubu.
According to him, the Senator said the president’s projects and interventions in the South-South had made the group’s task of mobilising support for him easier, commending Tinubu for the rehabilitation and reconstruction of the Calabar-Itu Highway, which he said had remained unresolved by successive administrations for more than 15 years.
“As I speak with you, we are back to the good old days where you can drive from Calabar to Akwa Ibom within one hour and 30 minutes.
“All thanks to the President’s untiring efforts to end commuters’ years of suffering on that highway,” he said.
Eteng also cited the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as another major project for which the region would appreciate the president, adding “again, we also want to use our votes to appreciate him on the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway."
The Deputy DG also highlighted the establishment of the regional development commission, as well as interventions in agriculture and empowerment, as areas where he said Tinubu’s administration had impacted the region.
“So, the 2027 general election is all about thanking him with our votes,” he said.
Eteng’s appointment as Deputy Director-General (South-South) of TSG was conveyed in a letter dated Sept. 19 and signed by the Convener and Founder of the group, Rt. Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.
According to the letter, the appointment was in recognition of Eteng’s leadership experience, professional accomplishments, grassroots engagement, and commitment to national development and democratic governance.
As Deputy Director-General, Eteng is expected to support the coordination and mobilisation of TSG activities across the South-South region.
He is also expected to work with relevant stakeholders to advance the objectives of the organisation and promote the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu.
Faleke congratulated Eteng on the appointment and expressed confidence in his contribution to the growth and success of the Tinubu Support Group.
