2027: Orok Duke Mobilizes Cal. South Ward 11 For Tinubu/Otu, Warns Against Fading Party Morale
C'River APC stalwart and NDDC board member Orok Duke has raised concern over declining morale among party members in Calabar South, urging Ward 11 faithful to re-energize ahead of the 2027 elections.
Duke made the call on Monday, during an appreciation visit to Ward 11, where he urged members to step up their canvassing for the party.
Addressing stakeholders at the meeting, Duke said the ward’s reputation for numerical strength and political influence must translate into results for all APC candidates in 2027.
“Ward 11 is the political backbone of Calabar South. That strength must be effectively harnessed to secure victory,” he said.
Beyond mobilization, Duke pressed members to avoid anti-party activities and to back every APC candidate regardless of personal differences. He described unity, commitment, and collective responsibility as non-negotiable for the party’s electoral success.
He commended the ward for its dedication and strong showing during the last primaries, noting that the same energy would be needed to deliver President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Bassey Edet Otu again in 2027.
“The political journey towards 2027 is far from over. Victory can only be secured through sustained commitment, grassroots mobilisation, and active participation at the polls,” Duke stated.
The meeting ended with the NDDC commissioner donating N1.3million to the ward for their support.
