2027: Eteng’s 2ndTerm Bid Gains Momentum at APC Dinner

The second-term bid of Senator Eteng Jonah Williams, representing Cross River Central, continues to gain momentum, buoyed by the overwhelming support displayed during a dinner he hosted in Abuja for All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates from the Central Senatorial District ahead of the ruling party’s national convention.
The high-profile event brought together key political figures, including the newly elected APC State Chairman, Rt. Hon. Chris Etta, Hon. Victor Abang of Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Elvert Ayambem, Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, state assembly members, local government chairmen, and APC chapter leaders from Central Senatorial District. Also in attendance were former EFCC Executive Secretary, Barr. George Ekpungu, Barr. Tina Agbor, Board Member of Federal Polytechnic Ado-Ekiti, and Cross River State Commissioner for Information, Erasmus Ekpang, Ph.D, among other prominent stakeholders.
In his welcome address, Senator Williams expressed gratitude to the delegates for honoring his invitation, noting that the dinner offered an opportunity to reconnect after the successful state congresses and to celebrate the unity and strength of the APC in Cross River Central. He reaffirmed his commitment to working with party leadership to ensure continued success and national progress.
“I warmly welcome all delegates to Abuja for the 2026 APC National Convention. This gathering allows us to consolidate our gains and chart a forward-looking path as we prepare for the 2027 general elections,” Senator Williams declared.
Responding, Rt. Hon. Chris Etta praised the Senator’s gesture as a clear demonstration of dedication and commitment to the party, expressing appreciation on behalf of the State Executive Committee for the warm reception and hospitality.
Senator Williams concluded the evening with optimism, asserting that the outcomes of the convention would further strengthen the APC and position it for sustained leadership and service to Nigerians, while wishing all delegates a fruitful convention and a pleasant stay in Abuja.
