Governor Bassey Otu has assured that internal disputes among party members would be amicably resolved.

The governor gave the assurance during an endorsement rally in Ikom, where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Otu were endorsed for a second term ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Represented by his deputy, Dr. Peter Odey, Otu urged party faithful and aspirants within the All Progressives Congress (APC) to shun divisive tendencies and embrace unity.

“We belong to one political family. There is no need for quarrels or division. Everyone has the right to aspire, and at the appropriate time, we will sit together and resolve all issues as one united family,” the governor said.

The rally, which attracted a massive turnout of supporters, stakeholders and party leaders, underscored growing political momentum within the state.

While addressing the people, the Deputy Governor highlighted key achievements of the administration, particularly in addressing workers’ welfare. He disclosed that the state government had released money to offset gratuities owed since 2007 and assured that additional funds would be released before mid-year to clear outstanding payments.

He also reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to reclaiming Cross River’s oil wells, attributing progress to the intervention of President Tinubu in resolving boundary concerns with neighbouring Akwa Ibom State.

Odey further called for increased voter mobilisation, urging residents to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the electoral process, while setting a target of three million votes for the President in the next elections.
