UNICAL MANAGEMENT REITERATES BAN ON WILD POST-EXAMINATION CELEBRATIONS, RECKLESS DRIVING
The Management of the University of Calabar has once again reiterated its ban on wild post- examination celebrations, reckless driving, flying of colours, and all forms of disorderly conduct within and around the university Campus.
The Registrar of the University of Calabar, Dr Mrs Chukwuka Icha on behalf of Management notes with concern that some students, particularly Final-year students, engage in unlawful celebrations after their final examinations under the guise of marking the end of their studies.
In view of this, all members of the University Community, especially
Final-year students are strongly advised to desist from such acts.
She said that the ban on wild celebrations within the campus, around the school gates, and all cult-related activities remains in full force.
Management will not hesitate to apply appropriate sanctions on any student or group found culpable.
To ensure full compliance, the Acting Chief Security Officer has been directed to enforce this directive strictly across the campus and its environs.
The university community is urged to take note and comply accordingly
