Super Eagles Threaten AFCON Quarterfinal Boycott Over Unpaid Bonuses

The Super Eagles of Nigeria players are threatening to boycott their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) quarterfinals match against Algeria over unpaid bonuses.

The players are demanding settlement of their entitlements, including win bonuses from four matches against Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Mozambique, before traveling to Marrakech for the quarter-final clash.

According to reports, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has attributed the delay to processing issues with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), assuring that payments will be made once completed.

This isn't the first time bonus disputes have affected the team as similar protests occurred in November 2024 during World Cup qualifiers
