The Peoples Redemption Party has elected former Cross River State Governor Donald Duke as its presidential flagbearer for the 2027 general election.
National Chairman Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed announced the decision on Tuesday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
Duke won the primaries with 6,499 votes. His closest challenger, Kingsley Yakubu, who ran on a platform of youth inclusion and economic reform, polled 2,699 votes. Academic and policy expert Dr. Nnaoke Ufere finished third with 784 votes.
Baba-Ahmed said the process was free, credible, and unbiased. He added that any aspirant with grievances should approach the party’s Appeal Committee for redress.
