The Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) has given approval to three individuals to contest in its upcoming presidential primary slated for May 25, 2026.

The cleared aspirants are Dr. Nnaoke Ufere from Abia State, Engr. (Dr.) Yakubu Mohammed Kingsley of Edo State, and former Governor of Cross River State, Donald Duke.

This was disclosed on Saturday in a statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Muhammed Ishaq, who noted that all the approved contenders have pledged to accept the outcome of the party’s internal selection process during the nationwide exercise.

He further stated that the PRP is committed to delivering a transparent, credible, and inclusive primary election, with over 260 aspirants expected to vie for different elective positions under its platform.

According to him, the party leadership is working to deepen internal democracy and guarantee fairness at every stage of the primaries.

He also explained that in situations where consensus is not achieved among aspirants, the party will proceed with full competitive primaries in line with its constitution and established guidelines.
