Police Launch Search for Missing UNICAL Theatre Arts Student

The Cross River State Police Command has commenced a search for Benjamin Hilda, a 30 year old undergraduate of the Department of Theatre Arts at the University of Calabar, who has been reported missing.

In a statement released in Calabar, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sunday Eitokpah, said the student left his residence in early 2025 for an undisclosed location and has not returned since. His family last had contact with him in March 2025.

The police disclosed that repeated efforts by relatives, friends and associates to trace him have yielded no result.

Hilda is from Kwande Local Government Area of Benue State. He is described as tall, fair in complexion and fluent in Tiv and English.

The Command appealed to members of the public with relevant information to report to the nearest police station or reach out through the official contact numbers provided by the Command.

Authorities assured that any information supplied would be handled discreetly as efforts continue to locate the missing student.
