PDP Grieves Sudden Death of Bayelsa Deputy Governor Ewhrudjakpo
The Peoples Democratic Party has mourned the sudden passing of the Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Lawrence Oborawharievwo Ewhrudjakpo, describing his death as a profound loss to the party, the state and the nation.
In a condolence message issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the PDP said it received the news of the Deputy Governor’s collapse and death with deep shock and sadness. The party noted that the development had thrown the National Working Committee led by Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, as well as its membership nationwide, into grief.
The statement described the late Ewhrudjakpo as a steadfast and principled politician who embodied honesty, conviction and integrity throughout his public life. It added that he was a loyal party man who remained committed to the ideals of the PDP until his final moments.
According to the party, the Deputy Governor’s passing is an “inexplicable loss and an indescribable pain,” particularly for members in Bayelsa State who worked closely with him.
The PDP prayed for the repose of his soul and extended its condolences to the government and people of Bayelsa State, noting that the loss is both painful and irreplaceable.
Senator Ewhrudjakpo, a former federal lawmaker and respected political figure in the state, served as Deputy Governor until his unexpected death on Thursday.
