The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, on Monday received the Governor of Cross River State, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, at the Nigerian Air Force Headquarters in Abuja, where both leaders renewed their commitment to strengthening security collaboration for the benefit of the state and the nation.
Air Marshal Aneke described the governor’s visit as a clear reaffirmation of the long-standing partnership between the Nigerian Air Force and the Cross River State Government. He assured Governor Otu of the Air Force’s continued commitment to protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity through robust internal security operations, disaster response, humanitarian assistance and the protection of critical national infrastructure. The CAS also highlighted opportunities for expanded cooperation in training, logistics, information sharing and welfare programmes that support both personnel and host communities.
Governor Otu commended the professionalism and dedication of the Nigerian Air Force and expressed the state government’s readiness to further deepen collaboration with the service. He stressed that effective partnership with the NAF is essential to maintaining stability and driving sustainable development. According to him, Cross River State will continue to work closely with the Air Force to enhance security and provide an environment where citizens and businesses can thrive.
