Osun Appeal Court Ruling Puts PDP Leadership Crisis in C' River to Rest ~ Udayi

The Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), in Cross River State has declared that the Court of Appeal ruling in Abuja on Osun State gubernatorial candidate has finally laid to rest the leadership crisis in the party, and affirmed Mr. Julius Udayi as the authentic governorship candidate of the PDP in the state.
Addressing newsmen in Calabar on Friday, the Taminu Turaki led faction, stated that the judgment vindicates its position and exposes those parading themselves as PDP candidates under the Wike led Faction as impostors.
According to the the factional governorship candidate Mr. Julius Udayi, the Abuja Division of the Court of Appeal on Thursday, August 13, 2026, upheld the nomination of Adebayo Olugbenga Adedamola of the Turaki led faction as the authentic governorship candidate of the PDP for the Osun State election.
The court also directed the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to immediately include the PDP logo on the ballot for the election scheduled for Saturday, August 15, 2026.
He accused the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, of sponsoring parallel activities in the state through his loyalists led by Senator/Prof. Sandy Onor.
"It is from Turaki led leadership which the court of appeal has adjudged to be the legitimate led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that Julius Udayi was nominated and presented as the bonafide governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River State as well as all other candidates of his team".
"It is sad to say that the unwholesome activities of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike, whose stooges headed by Senator/Prof. Sandy Onoh are hell bent on disrupting the peace and tranquility prevalent in the State, by parading themselves as products of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 'Wike Faction'," Udayi said
Udayi however called on security agencies in Cross River State, particularly the Chief Security Officer of the State, to take note of what it described as reoccurring and continuing parallel political activities by the Sandy Onor state led faction.
"This act breeds indicators for outbreak of violence or is itself an act likely to cause breach of the peace in the state if not checked through proactive measures,".
"Anyone who is against the Turaki Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), is on his own or such person or group of persons are being used as guinea pigs for Presidential experimentation in Cross River State."
"It is already exposed that some of them are chief Protagonists in Wike's Play Book, and not in the interest of Cross River State. Their pursuit is nothing but for self enrichment and aggrandisement" Ulayi warned.
