Ntukekpo Returns as Akwa Ibom APC Chairman as Party Elects New State Executives
Mr Stephen Ntukekpo has been returned as the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State after party stakeholders adopted a consensus arrangement.
The motion endorsing his continuation in office was moved by Aniekan Bassey, who represents Uyo Senatorial District, and seconded by Clement Jimbo, the member representing Abak/Etim Ekpo/Ika Federal Constituency.
Delegates present at the congress unanimously supported the proposal, leaving Ntukekpo unopposed.
Other members of the newly elected executive include Aniekan Ekpo as Deputy Chairman, Envoy Nsentip Akpabio as Secretary, Barrister Kemfon Neke as Treasurer, and Barrister Victor Akpan as Organising Secretary. Patrick Edeke was elected Publicity Secretary, Obonganwan Obonodo Uko as State Woman Leader, and Clement Awakessien as State Youth Leader.
Party insiders described the outcome as a sign of unity and collective resolve within the state chapter. They expressed optimism that the leadership team would strengthen the party’s structure and expand engagement across the state.
While giving his acceptance speech, Ntukekpo assured members of transparent and inclusive leadership. He urged party faithful to remain united, adding that efforts would focus on broad participation and adequate preparation for future elections.
