NNPP Condemns Bakassi ADC Attack, Calls for Probe

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Cross River State has condemned an attack on members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) during a party event in Bakassi Local Government Area of Cross River state allegedly carried out by thugs.

In a press release, state chairman of the party Barr. Tony Odey called the incident "lawlessness", demanding that those responsible be brought to justice.

Odey urged INEC and the Nigeria police to investigate the viral allegation while asking the state government to speak out, warning that silence could be misread.

The NNPP added that it stands with Bakassi residents and will not tolerate violence, while calling on citizens to remain calm and report further incidents.
