UNICROSS Alumni Association Amends Constitution

The University of Cross River State (UNICROSS) Alumni Association, today, successfully concluded the amendment of its existing constitution and eventually adopted same document as a valid decalogue to guide the Association's operations.
The amendment and adoption were achieved at an emergency National Convention held at Transcorp Hotel, Calabar.
Speaking at Convention, the National President of the Association, Comrade Eyam Abeng said the amendment was conceived to address the discrepancies and bottlenecks that characterised the previous constitution, pointing out that with a new regulatory framework in place, cracks that hitherto threatened the Association have become nonexistent.
He thanked the Constitution Amendment Committee for meticulously and assiduously handling of the assignment, noting that it is a feat that would better the lots of UNICROSS Alumni Association.
In his remarks, Chairman of the Constitution Amendment Committee, Comrade John Odaji, expressed gratitude to members of the Association for painstakingly working with his Committee to arrive at a document that is acceptable and reminiscent of the yearnings and aspirations of the generality of members of the Association.
After exhaustive deliberations at Convention and fulfillment of all necessary requirements, Comrades Egbe Egbe Iloke and Abua Romanus respectively moved and seconded the motion that adopted the amended constitution.
The amendment of the constitution has been opined by members as providing a new vista for the Association to thrive.
