UNICAL Recalls Livinson Arikpo From Suspension
By Benjamin Gbor
The University of Calabar (UNICAL) management has recalled Master Livinson Arikpo, the Governor-General of Malabor Hostel, who was suspended early this year for his alleged involvement in a peaceful protest.
According to reports, the decision to lift the suspension came after numerous appeals from various notable groups.
Arikpo was suspended for alleged "acts of lawlessness," which included mobilizing students to participate in the protest a development the university viewed as a breach of the matriculation oath.

The university administration has reversed its decision, allowing Arikpo to resume his studies. This move is seen as a response to the widespread support and appeals for Arikpo’s reinstatement.
The university management emphasized that while Arikpo has been given another chance, any future misconduct by students will be strictly addressed in line with the institution’s rules and regulations.
