Stop Releasing Your Bank Details For Unknown Transactions Police Warns As They Arrest Two Kidnap Suspects In Calabar

Two suspects allegedly involved in the kidnap of one Mrs. Aliyu have been apprehended by men of the Nigerian Police in Calabar.
Report reaching The Beagle News has it that the kidnappers were apprehended through the bank account used to receive the ransom paid by the victim's husband.
Mrs Aliyu was kidnapped by the criminals in October and released after a ransom was paid by her husband to her abductors.
Men of the Anti Cultism and Kidnapping Squad (ACKS) led by SP Chukwuka Ogini tracked and traced the account used in receiving part of the ransom where the arrested the suspects.
The Cross River State Police Public Relations Officer Irene Ugbo confirmed that the ACKS men had been on the trail of the kidnappers who they eventually arrested through the bank account details.
"The suspects didn't know they were been trailed by Dragon Squad. Two out of four of them have been apprehended with locally made pistols and ammunitions. Phones and other valuable items were recovered from them .
"They have made confessional statement on their involvement in the abduction of the woman who is the wife of a popular car dealer in Calabar, they will be charged to court as soon as we conclude investigation," the PPRO said.
She however urged members of the public to be mindful who they share their details with especially bank details as they might get into trouble when they are used for fraud or other illicit dealings.
