Senator Jarigbe Takes Free Healthcare To Constituents In North Cross River, Embarks On 6-Day Medical Outreach

Committed to taking health care to the constituents in Cross River North senatorial district, Sen. Jarigbe Agom Jarigbe has concluded arrangements to embark on a 6-day free medical outreach across the five local government areas of the zone.
The medical outreach would be followed with a Thanksgiving Mass/Celebration of NASS 2023 election victory.
In a statement made available to news men, Jarigbe, representing Cross River North Senatorial District, said the aim of the 6-day medical outreach is to the wellbeing of the people and improve upon universal access to healthcare of the rural population.
The first phase of the medical outreach would hold at RCM, Moniaya-Ogoja, between Monday, March 25 and Wednesday, March 27, 2024, for constituents of Ogoja, Yala and Bekwarra local government areas.
The second phase would hold between Thursday, March 28 and Saturday, March 30, 2024 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Obudu, for constituents of Obudu and Obanliku Local government areas.
According to the lawmaker, the outreach program would focus not only on treatment but also on preventive measures and early interventions including regular check-ups, health screenings and education on healthy practices that can help to prevent diseases.
He said the program would also feature free surgeries on Hernia, Appendicitis and Lipoma.
“Health as we all know is wealth, and only healthy people make a healthy nation. This, underscores the importance of healthy living in any society, hence the need to ensure optimal healthcare that cuts across age-divide in our Senatorial District.
"Buses have been made available to convey patients to the two locations (Ogoja & Obudu) respectively," he stated.

However, the medical outreach would be rounded off with thanksgiving mass/celebration of Senator Jarigbe's victory at the NASS 2023 election.
The thanksgiving mass would hold on Sunday, March 31, 2024 about 10:00 am at St. Benedict’s Cathedral Igoli-Ogoja, Cross River state.
