The Special Adviser to the Cross River governor on Asset Management, Gilbert Agbor says his office is exploring viable areas of cooperation with relevant MDAs to enhance the attainment of government cardinal objectives as enshrined in the "people's first mantra"
Gilbert who stated this while exchanging views with The Beagles News after a visit to Price Intelligence Bureau maintained that such an initiative is necessary to build effective collaboration for the seamless achievement of government policies and programmes
According to him" I opted to embark on a tour of relevant line MDAs within the purview of my schedule to build synergy and develop a road map toward achieving common goals with regards to the people's first agenda.
" I believe such an approach is apt and timely to guarantee optimum participation by relevant stakeholders in driving government people policy agenda"
On key issues discussed during the tour, Agbor disclosed that discussions were focused on promoting transparency, accountability, and due process in governance to ensure judicious application of scarce resources.
In his remarks, the Director General of Due Process and Price Intelligence, Mr Charles Atu applauded Agbor for the visit noting that the teamwork approach will ensure transparency, fairness, and value for money in government procurement processes
Atu assured of the Bureau's readiness for a comprehensive approach to monitoring government procurement activities, to guard against corrupt practices, mitigate risks, and promote healthy competition among bidders and vendors to achieve optimal results for the public.
