Otu’s Eco-friendly Business Policies Attracting Private Sector Investment - Critical Stakeholders

Critical statekeholders in the Governor Bassey Otu-led administration have averred that the present government's eco-friendly business policies are eliciting private sector investment in Cross River state.

The Accountant General of Cross River State, Dr. Glory Effiong, Special Adviser to Governor on Project/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation Mr. Raphael Morphy, Managing Director of Cross River Tourism Bureau, Mr Ojoi Ekpenyong, as well as the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Operations Mr. Austin Wonoh Ibu, made the assertion recently when they visited the Blake Project on inspection at Marina Resort Calabar.

They speakers spoke glowingly of the ongoing building project being executed by the Blake at the waterside of the resort, in less than two months of indicating interest to build a fun hub at the resort.

Recall that His Excellency Sen Bassey Otu on assumption of office, promised to complete and revive all government projects and also give the state a facelift that will attract both local and foreign investors to come do business in Cross River State.

The litany of projects ongoing across the state and the eco-friendliness policies exhibited by the Governor, is clearly evident in to Cross River and Nigerian at large.

The Accountant General Dr. Mrs Glory Effiong said she's begining to imagine if there will be enough quality hotels in Calabar to accommodate guests who will certainly troop into the state to hold conferences or have fun, when the Blake project is eventually completed.

Dr. Effiong pleaded with notable Cross Riverians who are into the hospitality business to join forces and erecting beautiful structures that will accommodate guests who will come to seek fun and leisure in the state.

According to Dr. Glory Effiong, once the Blake round up with building the fun hub, it will certainly attract fun lovers who will be trooping into the state for business or leisure.

The Special Adviser Project/Programmes, Monitoring and Evaluation Mr. Raphael Morphy said Governor Bassey Otu has continued to excite Cross Riverians with his policy drive and programmes, which is now attractive to investors.

Morphy who led the team round the project site said Governor Otu has so far proven to the masses that he meant every bit of it when he said he will revive and return Cross River State to its glory days.

Blake Resort Restaurant and Lounge is a vibrant and trendy spot which offers a delightful and mouthwatering experiences in several Nigerian states, with an impending haven in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The Managing Director of Cross River Tourism Bureau, Mr. Ojoi Ekpenyong said the contractor handling the project has given his assurances that the project will be completed and ready for use in three weeks time from now.
