OGOJA LG GOV'T CHAIRMAN ASSURES OF EVEN DISTRIBUTION OF PROJECTS, PROMISES RENOVATION OF MARKETS

The Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Agbeh, has assured that the Council is committed to ensuring an equitable distribution of projects across the area as he embarks on inspection tour of ongoing projects.
Hon. Agbeh made this statement during his inspection of various projects, like the construction of a Ten Kilometers Ekpugiriya Esam Road in Ekajuk Ward 2, the newly completed Nkem Bridge at Mbube East Ward 1, Primary Healthcare Centre, Benkpe and the cleaning of the stadium site where container owners are to be relocated.
He emphasised that his administration will continue to identify areas of need and address them for the benefit of the people, particularly the rural dwellers who make up the majority of the population.
Hon. Agbeh called on the people to cooperate with the government and to offer their support and loyalty to both the State and Federal governments for the realization of much-needed dividends of democracy.
The Chairman also informed that several projects have been identified across the local government Area, such as the establishment of palm nurseries for farmers, the grading of Mbube Lane, Old Ezeigbo Road to the Federal School Road, and the repositioning of Abakpa Market in Urban Ward 2.
He reiterated that work has already begun at Ishibori Market, with the opening up of drains, renovation of the market master's office, and the reorganization of the Igoli Central Park, where all transporters are expected to relocate to.
Additionally, Hon. Agbeh assured that the rehabilitation of broken-down boreholes in the two Nkem Wards will be addressed.
The Chairman directed all committees formed by the Council to commence their operations according to their terms of reference as all hands have to be on duty.
