OGOJA COUNCIL CHAIRMAN INAUGURATES MBOK 1 HEALTH FACILITY

The Chairman of Ogoja Local Government Council, Chief Hon. Christopher Agbeh, has officially Inaugurated a newly constructed health center at Mbok 1 community.
The health facility was built through a self-help efforts by the Mbok 1 community in Ekajuk Ward 2 in Ogoja local government area.6
Commending the community for their initiative, Chief Agbeh expressed admiration for the people’s wisdom and commitment in embarking on such a vital project.
He pledged the Council’s support in providing essential medical equipment and amenities to ensure a smooth and conducive working environment at the facility.
“This administration aligns with the 'People First' mantra of the State Governor. The wellbeing of our people remains my utmost priority,” the Chairman stated.
Welcoming guests to the event, Elder Lawrence Etu described the commissioning as a historic moment for the community. He noted that the health center will relieve residents from traveling long distances to access medical care, thereby improving their quality of life.
Among the items requested by the community to complete the facility’s setup are hospital beds and mattresses, delivery equipment, chairs, tables, and other essential supplies.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Secretary of Council, Chief Alex Atem; Supervisors for Health, Education, Agriculture, and Finance; as well as Special Advisers on Peace and Security, and Legal Matters.
The event was marked by celebration and gratitude, with community members expressing hope for continued support and collaboration with the local government.
