By Missang Akpet
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the just concluded gubernatorial election in Cross River State Senator Sandy Onor has expressed dissatisfaction with the judgement delivered by the governorship elections petition tribunal sitting in Calabar on September 26.
In a statement made available to our newsroom and signed by the governorship candidate, he described the judgement as unfortunate saying though he is dissatisfied with the judgement, he has decided to treat it with calmness and composure.
According to him, "Whilst I am extremely dissatisfied with the Tribunal's judgement on the matter, I have decided to take it with equanimity, for now".
"However, I am yet to receive a formal copy of the judgement, and the attendant briefing from my legal team".
"I propose to meet with the members of my campaign organisation in the coming days to ruminate on the instant situation, and to decide on the appropriate way forward" he added.
He however thanked his numerous supporters for their support and prayers while urging them to remain calm even in the face of provocation as a result of the situation they have been subjected to.
