Executive Director SBHS Felicitates Gov Otu, Wife On Easter

The Executive Director of the Southern British High School, Dr (Mrs) Oluwaseun Fakorede has felicitated with the governor, Senator Bassey Otu and wife, Eyoawan on the occasion of the 2024 Easter celebrations.

In her message to mark the annual solemn Christian event, Dr(Mrs) Fakorede described Easter as a season of sober reflection and thanksgiving to God for His matchless blessings.

She said the price paid by the Savior Jesus Christ was a huge lesson for humanity portraying love, kindness and sacrifice , attributes which she said were glaringly examplified in the lives of the First Family in Cross River state.

The Executive Director pointed out that the biggest Easter celebration would be the one that addresses the problems of the vulnerable and destitute as already reflected in the policies and programmes of the Otu-led administration.

According to Dr(Mrs) Fakorede, the Humanitarian programmes and aspirations in the People First mantra of Governor Otu is an eloquent testimony of the mind of Government and that it's intentions are genuine.

She commended visible and tangible efforts of Governor Otu and Wife ,Eyoawan in putting smiles on faces and lifting fallen hands stressing that "indeed this is the essence of governance to salvage the down trodden,feed the hungry, clothe the naked *which she said was the saviours admonition and examples to his followers.

Fakorede urged the First Family to continue to uphold the tenets of Christianity in their leadership and prayed God to continue to shower them with more grace and blessings as they seek the best for the state in all human endeavors.
