Edo Poll: My programmes will eradicate poverty, says Ighodalo

The Peoples Democratic Party's candidate in the September 21 governorship election, Asue Ighodalo, said his priority is to introduce policies and programmes that would eradicate poverty, and other economic problems from the state if voted into power.
Ighodalo,who made the assertion during the ward to ward campaign flag-off at Ugbogui and Usen Wards in Ovia South-West Local Government Area of the state, said a vote for him represents all round development and progress, while urging the people to vote him as their next governor.
He said: "Our message to the people is that by the Grace of God, when we are voted into power again and sworn in by November, we are going to improve the welfare and living conditions of our people
'We are going to eradicate poverty and hardship brought upon the people by the All Progressives Congress led Federal Government through the introduction of policies and programmes that would aggressively eradicate poverty in Edo.
"So, go to your various polling units on September 21 and vote en masse for the PDP and ensure you protect your votes afterwards."
Ighodalo's running mate, Osarodion Ogie, said: "They (opposition party) said they want to serve the people in the state, yet they don't want to appear before the people and talk to them.
"They want to work for the people, yet they don't want to be interviewed by the people.
"So, vote for us as we mean well for the state and the well-being of the people. Our administration will be people-centric if elected as governor and deputy governor of the state."
